The money personality quiz for couples
If the same money argument keeps coming back, you already know the purchase was not the problem. What you probably have not seen written down is what money actually means to each of you. One of you learned it is safety. One of you learned it is how you take care of people. Nobody ever said either sentence out loud.
This is not a budgeting tool and it will not tell you what to do with your money. It measures the meanings and the split, which is the part the spreadsheet never shows.
It is built for two people, not one. That is not a limitation we are apologizing for. A money pattern is something you make together, and you cannot see it from one side.

How it works, plainly
- Start with the Drift Check, free. 24 questions, about 5 minutes each. It shows where the distance actually sits across all six corners of the relationship, which is usually not where either of you assumed.
- Your partner takes it too. Nothing meaningful comes back until they do. Two sets of answers is the whole point, because the gap between them is the finding.
- Then go deeper into the money itself. Money Pulse names what money means to each of you. LOAD names how the invisible work of your shared life is actually divided. Those two are part of the paid membership, not the free check, and you will know that before you are asked for anything.
What you find out
Two vocabularies, four names each. Not labels for who you are. Names for what you do with money and with the work, which are things that can change.
What money means to you
- Caretaker. Money is how you show love. You give and provide.
- Avoider. Money is stress, so you tune it out.
- Status. Money is proof of worth. It signals how you are doing.
- Hoarder. Money is safety. You save hard and guard the cushion.
How the work gets carried
- Lookout. Sees, plans, and tracks everything. Often carries the most.
- Offerer. Helpful when asked. Steps in, but waits to be told.
- Avoidant. Opts out of the daily running. Mentally elsewhere.
- Divider. Negotiates fairness. Splits the work on purpose.
LVRS FRVR helps couples talk about money. We do not give financial advice, and nothing here is a recommendation about what to do with your money.

Money, and what it is really about
Why the money fight behaves differently from every other fight. What the research says, and the question underneath it that nobody asks out loud.
Why you keep fighting about money
Sixteen versions of the same argument. Find the one that sounds like your house, by how each of you holds money and how the invisible work gets split.
Rhythm. What carries ordinary days
The beat under a shared life. The corner of the DPR MAP where money lives, alongside everything else you repeat without deciding to.
Maintenance. The daily care
The small, unglamorous, repeated acts that keep a relationship running. The corner where the invisible work either gets shared or quietly does not.
When it is not only about the money
The money fight is still a fight. The loop behind a repeating argument, and the half most couples never do.
